OUR COACHES

Meet our championship-caliber staff.

COACH T.

With 15 years of on-court impact, this coach has built a rep for turning potential into performance. He kicked off his journey in 2010 with an AAU high school squad that snagged multiple wins out of the gate. From there, he made moves as a defensive specialist for Churchill’s 8th grade girls TRBO team, eventually earning a spot on the high school coaching staff—where his training helped drive a 4th-place state finish and develop one of the deadliest shooters to hit Gill Coliseum during the 5A playoffs.

His run at Lane Community College was next level. Over three seasons, he helped take the program to new heights with a Southern Region runner-up in 2021 (and a Player of the Year finalist), followed by a 2022 Region Championship featuring multiple all-league players and some of the top shooters in the conference.

COACH

ALFONSO

Alfonso's deep roots in the Eugene/Springfield area shaped his lifelong passion for basketball. From local OAB school teams to AAU travel squads, he's always stayed connected to sports, with basketball holding a special place in his heart. Since 2017, he's dedicated himself to coaching boys' youth sports, including co-founding the Oregon Splash program that competed against elite competition up and down the West Coast.

Driven by a mission to elevate Eugene's basketball scene, Alfonso creates opportunities for young athletes to start their journeys earlier while developing crucial skills. His coaching philosophy centers on hard work, continuous growth, and fostering a positive, high-energy environment—whether on the basketball court or football field—fueled by his genuine passion for developing young talent.

COACH

BRANDON

Brandon Rath, a local three-sport standout at Springfield High School, discovered his passion for coaching at just 18 years old. His impressive 26-year coaching career includes leading high school boys' basketball from 2000 to 2008, culminating in a state championship at Marist High School in 2008.

Brandon’s dedication to developing young athletes has continued through his roles as Director of FBC Oregon and Founder of Oregon Flight Girls Basketball. The Oregon Flight girls’ program has quickly become the premier girls' youth basketball club serving the state of Oregon. His daughter, Braelynn, also plays—helping to build a legacy of basketball excellence that spans generations.
